If you are experiencing issues accessing your funds or need to restore your assets from Leap Wallet, follow this official recovery guide.
Because Leap Wallet is a non-custodial Web3 application, your digital assets are never stored inside the app itself—they exist securely on the blockchain. Your 12 or 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) grants you permanent, direct access to your on-chain assets.
Step-by-Step Restoration Guide:
1. Locate Your Recovery Credentials:
Locate your original 12 or 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase or private key that you generated when creating your wallet.
2. Select a Compatible Web3 Interface:
Choose an active, supported Cosmos/Web3 wallet such as Keplr, Cosmostation, or MetaMask (for EVM-compatible chains).
3. Import Existing Wallet:
Open the new wallet interface, select “Import Existing Wallet” or “Restore with Recovery Phrase”, and enter your words in the exact sequential order.
4. Verify Derivation Path and Addresses:
Ensure the standard Cosmos derivation path (typically m/44’/118’/0’/0/0) is selected. Compare the newly generated public addresses with your historical transaction addresses to confirm all assets and staking delegations appear correctly.
Security Warning:
Never enter your secret recovery phrase on unverified websites, pop-up windows, or share it with anyone. Legitimate support teams will never request your private keys or seed phrase.
